In celebration of World Youth Skills Day on July 15, 2025, Nirmala Arts and Science College, in association with ASAP Kerala, organized a Circle Campaign for all undergraduate students in the Seminar Hall based on the theme “Empowerment through AI and Digital Skills,” the event opened with a warm welcome from Mrs. Parvathy T.K. ASAP Coordinator at NASC, who greeted all the dignitaries. It was formally inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Mini K.D., Principal of Nirmala Arts and Science College, and followed by an inspiring address from Mrs. Daisy N.O., Dean of the College.

Ms. Isha Santhosh, a second-year BCA student, led the main session with a well‑structured presentation. She began by explaining core AI concepts—machine learning, data analytics, and automation—then seamlessly connected these to practical applications across key industries such as medicine (AI diagnostics), healthcare (smart patient monitoring), IT (process automation), and fashion (AI-enhanced design tools). Her examples highlighted the real-world value of AI’s transformative role.

A significant portion of her talk was devoted to Generative AI, showcasing its capabilities in generating creative outputs—text, images, and code. She also introduced prompt engineering, illustrating how students can effectively “prompt” AI models to produce desired outcomes. These skills, emerging as essential digital literacies, were positioned as growth areas for students to explore further.

This mini-campaign aligns with global educational trends that underscore the importance of digital literacy, technical proficiency, and creativity. By introducing these topics to undergraduates, NASC and ASAP Kerala initiated essential awareness and inspired students to actively build their digital capabilities.
