M.Com Finance postgraduate program in commerce is being offered by the Post Graduate Department of Commerce since 2012. This 2-year degree programme aims at building Commerce professionals with specialized skills and applied competencies in theoretical and practical knowledge of Finance and Taxation that will cater the contemporary needs of industry and academics by providing student-centric learning backed with critical thinking and problem solving capabilities

Programme Specific Outcome

  • Inculcating managerial skills and theoretical knowledge for managing business units with special focus on functional areas of business and management.

  • Imparting advanced accounting knowledge and skills and provides awareness regarding latest developments in the field of accounting.

  • Enabling learners to acquire advanced theoretical knowledge on research methods and techniques and also developing capabilities in the application of research in solving business related problems.

M.Com Finance is a 2-year full-time course with 4 semesters affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottyam. The course comprises of 18 papers of which, 15 are core courses 3 are optional courses and a project & viva. The Elective courses for M.Com Finance are;
