Arts Club

“Works of Art”, the creative aspects of human existence, have the power to amuse and amaze the young and the old alike. With the view of enticing the young minds of Nirmala Arts and Science College, Mulanthuruthy; Arts Club was introduced with much fervency and ardour. The club has started its activities in full swing from 2015 onwards. Arts Club has provided a great platform for the ‘art lovers’ and ‘art enthusiasts’ of our college. The Club offers unique learning experiences for students , thereby opening a new window to the world of music, drawing, dance, painting, modelling, crafts and drama.
Students’ Union, college management and our students have wholeheartedly supported all the activities and endeavours of Arts Club. All these years the club has been able to hold art raffles, conduct and host various Inter- Collegiate and Inter-departmental competitions and has successfully secured recognition and higher grades in University Kalolsavam conducted by M.G.University during various years.

  • The main mission of Nirmala Arts Club is to inspire the students to come together and hold hands with their fellow beings to share the same love, passion and admiration they possess towards “arts”.
  • Arts Club helps them to rejuvenate their artistic talents as well as their personalities thereby creating awareness and appreciation towards artistic pursuits.
  • It acts as a forum to discuss about Arts and ensures active student participation in all creative projects and activities of the college.



Students of NASC represented the college at the M.G.University Kalolsaavam.

* Lakshmi Mukundan, second year student, Department of B.A  has secured “A” grades  both in Poetry Writing (English), and Short-story Writing (English).

* Mahima Verma, first year student Department of B.A.has secured ” A” grades in Essay Writing(English), Essay Writing(Hindi), Short story Writing (Hindi).

* Basil P.P final year B.Com C.A student secured “A”grade for Collage Making.

* Our college has secured good grades, and was well-appreciated in the M.G.University Kalolsavam- Drama Competition  conducted in the year 2019-20.


The students of NASC  represented the college at the M.G.University Youth Festival Drama Competition in the academic year 2018-19. The play was well-received by the audience and has achieved good grades.



A great day and proud moment for every Indian. We Nirmalites celebrated our nation’s 74th Independence Day at NASC with great civility and respect. Celebrations were conducted through the virtual platform, Google meet  and this coined the first Online programme held in the history of our college. All the competitions  were conducted  following strictly the norms and regulations of Covid-19. The competitions lasted upto two days,  including 15th and 17th of August, 2020.


e-ONAM@2020( 26 th August 2020)

Onam is not only the greatest festival of Malayali but the greatest celebration that no Malayali can afford to skip.The rules and regulations of global pandemic Covid restricted our students and teachers to our houses but it wasn’t powerful enough to restrict our efforts in celebrating the event through online. Thus e-Onam 2020 was successfully celebrated in the Nirmala family on 26 th of August 2020, with much enthusiasm.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION (5th September, 2020)

Teachers’ Day is celebrated on 5th of September every year.The students of NASC conducted department -wise celebrations, planned it as a surprise to their beloved teachers through Google meet and through our Official YouTube channel. All the programmes were conducted and presented accordingly, obeying all the Covid- 19 protocols.

INDIAN AIR FORCE DAY (8 th October,2020)

Indian Air force Day is celebrated on October 8th  every year. NASC  celebrated this year’s  Airforce Day on 8 th of October. Our Arts Club and Voice of Youth joined hands together and presented the event  through a five minute video presentation. Students from all the departments actively participated and offered their help and assistance in all possible ways.

CHILDREN'S DAY (14th of November,2020)

We, Nirmalites celebrated our Children’s Day named” Heyy Kiddo 2020″ on 14 th November 2020 with much fun and frolic through Google platform. This year unfortunately all we got is just a virtual meet, but NASC Arts Club has put in full effort in making this day a most memorable one.


People around the globe observe Christmas as a celebration of tradition and practices that are both religious and secular in nature. Everyone rejoice and celebrate this day of bliss, decorating Christmas trees, making Christmas wreaths, attending prayers in churches, sharing meals with family and friends, and of course the time of Christmas is a period of long-awaited arrival of Santa Claus, the fantasy which both adults and kids expect to come true. Nirmala Arts and Science College, Mulanthuruthy in association with Arts Club conducted “A December to Remember”, this year’s Christmas and New Year Celebrations through online, to explore the talents of our students and to entertain them. Various online and offline programmes were included. The competitions started one week prior to the the main celebrations which was held on 24 th of December, 2020 via online platform.
