The R&D Cell of the Department of Computer Applications, in association with Gentrius IT Solutions, Ernakulam, organized a two-day workshop on Web Designing and Development for II Semester BCA (Hons.) students on 9th and 10th February 2026 at Software Lab I of the Department. The workshop aimed to provide industry-oriented training and hands-on experience in fundamental web technologies. The sessions covered HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript, enabling students to understand web page structure, styling, and basic interactivity. The training was conducted through live demonstrations and practical sessions, allowing students to apply concepts immediately and enhance their coding skills. The workshop significantly improved students’ technical knowledge, creativity, and confidence in developing basic web pages. It also helped bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. All students actively participated and successfully completed the program, making it a highly effective and enriching learning experience. As part of the evaluation, Gentrius IT Solutions conducted a Web Development Competition. Students enthusiastically showcased their skills, and the projects were evaluated based on creativity, functionality, and presentation. We are proud to announce that Aaron Antony and Aatmanya Abhilash were selected as the winners for their outstanding performance. Overall, the workshop was a great success and provided valuable practical exposure, strengthening the foundation of students in web development.
