
On February 19, 2025, the Postgraduate Department of Psychology organized a talk as part of the Wednesday Chapter Session 6 on the topic “Responsible Research Practices”. The event was conducted for the psychology and social work students and took place in the seminar hall, commencing at 10 AM. The program began with an introductory address by the Dean, Professor Daisy NO This was followed by the welcome address, delivered by the Head of the Department, Mrs. Sona T. M. The highlight of the session was the insightful talk by the distinguished speaker, Mrs. Anjitha Mary C. J, former Head of the Department of Psychology, who served as the resource person. The session provided valuable insights into the ethical and methodological aspects of conducting research in psychology. Mrs. Anjitha Mary C. J. emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity, ensuring participant confidentiality, and adhering to ethical guidelines while conducting research. The talk was followed by an interactive discussion, where students and faculty members actively participated, sharing their perspectives and seeking clarifications on various aspects of responsible research practices. The program was highly impactful, fostering awareness about ethical research practices and equipping attendees with essential knowledge to conduct research responsibly. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speaker and all participants for making the event a success.
