The Environment Conservation Cell of Nirmala Arts and Science College was inaugrated by Mr Mathewkutty Tom, managing director of TJT Farms and plantation, Kottayam and followed by a talk on organic farming on 11th December, 2020 through google meet. Since its inception the Environment Conservation Cell of our college have been active in spreading awareness about the hazards of ignoring and destroying our nature and have attempted to show the community by example, ways to return to the roots.

On January 15th, 2021 the Environment Conservation Cell conducted a talk on the “ Latest trends in Farming and Waste Management “ by Mr. P.A Thankachan, Executive Director of Rural Science and Technology Centre, Thuruthikkara. Later we successfully implemented a new concept “ Muttatthoru Meenthottam “ project by Research Centre Thuruthikkara.

We are proud to inform that we successfully maintain a “ Vegetable Garden “ in our college . We do regular harvest from our garden and the produce is distributed among college members and community.

The Environment Conservation Cell in association with NSS, conducted a campaign to clean our campus and surrounding area on 26th March, 2021.

The Environment Conservation Cell in association with ED club in Nirmala Arts and Science college conducted a Exhibition-Cum- Sale on 29th March, 2021.

We, The Environment Conservation Cell of Nirmala Arts and Science College are proud of our activities in this academic year and firmly believe that we have been an inspiration to the entire college and the community in spreading our message of respecting and nurturing our beloved nature.
