
The Reading Week Celebration was successfully organized by the Sanskriti Literary Club in association with the Library Club and Department of Languages. The event commenced with a prayer, followed by a welcome speech delivered by Ms. Veena M, Assistant Professor of English. Prof. Dr. Mini K.D, Principal, delivered an inspiring inauguration speech, highlighting the importance of reading and literature. Prof. Athira I.T, Assistant Professor of Languages and Convenor of Sanskriti Literary Club, delivered the presidential address. Prof. Daisy N.O, Dean, officially launched the logo, marking a significant moment for the celebration. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Deepanjali Devadas(Assistant Professor of Languages). The Reading Week Celebration aimed to foster a love for reading and literature among students, and its success was evident in the enthusiastic participation and engagement of all attendees. The events included reading competitions in Malayalam, Hindi, and English, a selfie contest with favorite authors or books, a literary quiz in association with the Quiz Club, and a newspaper reading session for teachers. The reading competitions in Malayalam, Hindi, and English were held on June 19, 20, and 23, respectively, aiming to promote language skills and literary knowledge among students. On June 21, students participated in a selfie contest with their favorite authors or books, showcasing their love for reading and literature. The literary quiz, held on June 24 in association with the Quiz Club, tested students’ knowledge of literature, history, and culture.The newspaper reading session for teachers on June 25 aimed to promote reading habits among educators. Additionally, the club hosted an official logo design competition, encouraging students to submit their original designs by June 17. The winning design will be announced on June 18 and will become the official logo of the Sanskriti Literary Club.
