As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, the Department of Computer Applications at Nirmala College of Arts and Science, Mulanthuruthy, organized a Poster Making Competition for BCA students on 5th June 2025. The program was inaugurated by Mr. Eldho Peter, Head of the Department of Computer Applications. In his address, he emphasized the significance of World Environment Day and highlighted the importance of individual responsibility in protecting the Earth from pollution. Following the inaugural session, the program coordinator explained the rules and guidelines of the competition to the participants. The event was coordinated by Ms. Jayasree J.M., Assistant Professor, and Department of Computer Applications. The theme for the poster making competition was: “Beat Plastic Pollution, Save Our Earth.” The primary objective of the event was to encourage student creativity while raising awareness about environmental issues, especially the detrimental impact of plastic pollution. The competition aimed to foster a sense of commitment among students toward protecting our planet. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students, and the quality of the posters reflected their dedication and awareness. Overall, the program was a great success, aligning well with the spirit of World Environment Day.
