The Psychology Department Association Inauguration Programme was conducted on 20th August 2025 at 1.00 pm in the Seminar Hall, Nirmala Arts and Science College, Mulanthuruthy. The event was attended by dignitaries, faculty members, and students of the department.

The programme commenced with the Lighting of the Lamp, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. Mrs. Vimi Joseph, Head of the Department of Psychology, delivered the welcome address, warmly greeting the gathering. The Presidential Address was delivered by the principal Dr. Prof. Mini KD, who emphasized the importance of departmental associations in fostering holistic learning and student growth. The inauguration was graced by Ms. Renju Renjimar, celebrity makeup artist and a prominent figure in the LGBTQIA+ community, who officially declared the association open. Her presence added inspiration and inclusivity to the occasion. Daisy N.O Dean of the college and Mr. Lalu P. Joy (IQAC Coordinator) offered their felicitations, appreciating the initiatives of the Psychology Department and encouraging students to engage actively in departmental activities.

The Keynote Address delivered by the Chief Guest enlightened the audience with valuable insights into psychology, self-expression, and inclusivity. As a token of gratitude, a memento of love was presented to Ms. Renju Renjimar by the department. The programme concluded with vibrant cultural performances presented by the students, showcasing creativity and enthusiasm. The inauguration thus marked the beginning of another year of academic excellence, inclusivity, and collective growth for the Department of Psychology.
