As a part of Muharram, a Mehndi Design Competition was conducted on 04th July 2025 at college auditorium. The event aimed to promote traditional art forms and encourage creativity among students. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various departments. Participants showcased their talent by creating intricate and artistic mehndi designs within the allotted time. Themes ranged from traditional Indian motifs to modern Arabic patterns, with some even incorporating symbols inspired by Muharram to add cultural depth to their artwork.

Mehndi Designing Competition started at 1:30 pm in the college auditorium. There were 33 participants for the competition. The rules were circulated among the participants already. The event was judged by Ms. Parvathy T K (Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Applications), Ms. Meghna Sunil K P (Assistant Professor, Post Graduate Department of Psychology) and Ms. Abigail Ann Clements (Assistant Professor, Post Graduate Department of Commerce). They evaluated the designs based on creativity, neatness, originality, and adherence to the theme. After careful consideration, winners were selected. From girls, Anakha Mukesh of third year BCA secured first prize, Swathy Santhosh of second year BCA and Lakshmi Sunil of third year BSC Psychology secured second prize and the third prize was secured by K S Malavika of third year BCA and Alfiya Shemeer of third BCom Taxation respectively. From boys, Abhay Praveen of second year BCA secured first prize, Shijin Shaji of third year BCom Finance and Taxation got second prize and Adwaith V R of second year BCA got third prize.

The competition provided a platform for students to express their artistic skills and also highlighted the rich cultural traditions associated with mehndi art. Overall, the Mehndi Design Competition was a grand success, reflecting the spirit of culture, celebration, and creative expression.
