The Arts club of Nirmala Arts & Science College Mulanthuruthy conducted the Onam Celebration ‘KAHALAM’ on 27th August 2025 at the college courtyard. The entire campus was filled with festive spirit, beautifully decorated with flowers, lights, and traditional elements that reflected the rich cultural heritage of Kerala. The programme started at 9:30 am with a flashmob, followed by thiruvathirakali competition and vanchippattu competition by various departments. The Mahabali ‘s visit was accompanied by several attractions including Chendamelam and various Onam games such as Rottikadi, Tug of War were organized for students. A delicious feast was arranged for the students and faculty members. The Onam celebration not only brought joy and togetherness but also gave everyone a chance to cherish Kerala’s culture and tradition. Ms. Jayasree J M, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Computer Applications and Ms. Reshma R Nair, Post graduate Department of Commerce coordinated the programme.
