As part of the Association Day Celebration, the Department of Computer Application and CASIN, in association with IQAC, organized a guest talk titled “Should You Learn How to Code in the Next Decade?” on 11 December 2025. The programme was aimed at creating awareness among BCA students about the evolving relevance of coding skills in the context of rapid technological advancements and changing industry demands. Mr. Pradeep P delivered an engaging and thought-provoking session highlighting the role of coding in the future workforce. He discussed emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Automation, and Cloud Computing, and explained how coding a foundational skill remains across these domains. The speaker emphasized that while tools and platforms may evolvelogical thinking, algorithmic approach, and problem-solving skills gained through coding will continue to be indispensable. He also addressed common misconceptions about coding, encouraged students from diverse backgrounds to learn programming, and stressed the importance of continuous learning and adaptability. The session concluded with an interactive question-and-answer segment, where students actively participated and clarified their doubts regarding career opportunities, skill development, and industry readiness. The talk was highly informative and impactful for BCA students. It successfully fulfilled its objectives by inspiring students to view coding not just as a subject, but as a lifelong skill essential for the next decade. The programme added significant value to the Association Day celebration and contributed positively to the academic and professional development of the students.
