On the occasion of World Lung Cancer Day, the Department of Management Studies organized a Documentary Presentation on 1st August 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Seminar Hall. The event was coordinated by Miss Ashly Jose, Assistant Professor, and was attended by 95 BBA students. The primary objective of the program was to raise awareness about lung cancer, its causes, preventive measures, and the importance of early detection. The documentary presented covered various aspects of lung cancer, including major risk factors such as smoking, environmental pollution, and occupational hazards. It also emphasized the significance of early diagnosis, modern treatment options, and real-life stories of survivors that inspired the audience. The content was educational and thought-provoking, offering students a comprehensive understanding of the health issue from both medical and social perspectives. Mrs Asha mol M K HoD, Management studies began the session with a brief address highlighting the relevance of observing World Lung Cancer Day and the need to educate the youth about healthy lifestyle choices. After the screening, an interactive discussion took place where students expressed their thoughts, shared feedback, and asked questions, demonstrating active engagement with the topic. The event was a successful initiative by the department to instill health awareness among students and promote responsible living. It reinforced the department’s ongoing commitment to integrating socially relevant themes into academic life.
