
The Department of Computer Applications, in association with the Career Guidance and Placement Cell, organized a Career Grooming Session for the second-year BCA students on 26 November 2025 (Wednesday). The session was conducted in the Seminar Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The resource person for the programme was Mr. V. Krishna Kumar, Director of Synergy Consultants and Cubes Career Care, Cochin, a well-known expert in employability training and career development. His extensive experience in mentoring young graduates added immense value to the session. The session was highly interactive, activity-oriented, and engaging, encouraging students to actively participate in discussions and practical exercises. Mr. Krishna Kumar emphasized the importance of self-confidence, communication skills, proactive behaviour, and readiness to take responsibility in both academic and professional environments. Through real-life examples and group activities, he urged the students to overcome their inhibitions and step forward to take initiatives that can shape their future careers. The career grooming session was a valuable and impactful learning experience for the second-year BCA students. It successfully met its objective of preparing students with the right mindset, skills, and confidence required for future career opportunities. The Department of Computer Applications and the Career Guidance and Placement Cell plan to organize more such training sessions in the coming semesters to enhance students’ employability skills.
