The Department of Computer Applications, along with CASIN (Computer Applications Students’ Association) of Nirmala College, organized a two-day programme as part of the Association Day celebrations- Zytrex 2025. The first day featured the formal inauguration of the Association Day, followed by an interactive session for the students. The inaugural programme began with a prayer song. This was followed by a welcome address delivered by Mr. Eldho Peter, Head of the Department of Computer Applications, who warmly welcomed all the dignitaries, including Mr. George Kuriakose, Manager of the Institute; Prof. Dr. Mini K. D., Principal of the College; Prof. Daisy N. O., Dean of the College; Mr. Pradeep P., Head of the IT Department, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam; Mrs. Abigail Ann Clement, IQAC Coordinator and Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce, along with the Heads of various departments, faculty members, and students, to the function. Following the welcome address, Ms. Malavika K. S., Secretary of CASIN, presented the Annual Activity Report of the Department for the academic year 2024–25. This was followed by the Presidential Address delivered by *Mr. George Kuriakose, Manager of the Institute, who extended his best wishes to the department and appreciated its commendable achievements during the previous year. Subsequently, Prof. Dr. Mini K. D., Principal of the College,and Prof. Daisy N. O., Dean of the College, delivered felicitation addresses, encouraging the department and students for their continued excellence. Following the official lighting of the lamp, the Chief Guest of the day, Mr. Pradeep P., Head of the IT Department, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, delivered the Inaugural Address. Mrs. Abigail Ann Clement, IQAC Coordinator, also extended her best wishes to the department. After the inaugural addresses, the department’s annual newsletter, Insignia – Volume 4, was formally released by Mr. George Kuriakose, Manager of the Institute, in the presence of Mr. Pradeep P. Subsequently, prizes were distributed to the winners of the Environment Day Poster Making Competition and the Debugging and Web Page Design Competitions, organized as part of the International Programmers’ Day celebrations. The prizes were awarded by the Chief Guest and the Principal. Following the official function, the Department of Computer Applications launched its new initiative, the Research and Development Cell, which was formally inaugurated through a video launch by Mr. Pradeep P.; Mr. George Kuriakose, Manager; Prof. Dr. Mini K. D., Principal; and Prof. Daisy N. O., Dean of the College. The inaugural function was officially concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the student representative, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, organizers, and students for their support and active participation.
