Nirmala Arts and Science College, in association with ASAP Kerala, conducted a skill enhancement program titled METANOIA 2025 on June 30, 2025, at the Seminar Hall for final-year UG students. This event was part of the internal evaluation for the course Basic Proficiency in English, offered to the 2023–2026 UG batch by ASAP Kerala. The event began with a warm welcome from Mrs. Parvathy T.K., ASAP Coordinator at NASC, who greeted all the dignitaries in attendance. It was formally inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Mini K.D., Principal of Nirmala Arts and Science College, followed by a felicitous address by Mrs. Daisy N.O., Dean of the College. Mr. Anandu Rajashekaran, Central Zone Program Manager of ASAP Kerala, delivered an insightful speech outlining the course structure and emphasizing the importance of skill enhancement initiatives like this. The college provided a valuable platform for students to showcase and develop crucial skills acquired through the course—such as communication, stage management, time management, and team coordination. Students were divided into five teams and each had 30 minutes to present and perform cultural activities reflecting India’s diversity. They showcased group songs, group plays, and dances, accompanied by themed PowerPoint presentations on the culture of various Indian states—or, in some cases, districts within a single state. Each group also enacted traditional rituals and cultural ceremonies specific to their chosen region. The program concluded with the announcement of results, and prizes were awarded to the top two teams based on the excellence of their presentations and cultural performances.
