Nirmala Arts and Science College, in association with ASAP Kerala, organized a Two-Day Pre-Placement Grooming Program for final-year UG and PG students on 17th and 18th February 2025. The program aimed to equip students with the necessary skills and confidence to face recruitment processes and competitive exams. The program was inaugurated by the esteemed Dean of the Institute, Mrs. Daisy NO. During her speech, Mrs. Daisy highlighted the significance of pre-placement training in preparing students to face recruitment processes with confidence. She also shared personal anecdotes, offering insights into her own experiences and emphasizing the importance of confidence, preparation, and the right mindset when facing interviews and assessments. Following the inauguration, Mrs. Parvathy Rajesh, ASAP Coordinator of the College, welcomed the Dean, the trainer, and the students to the program. She expressed the importance of such grooming sessions in shaping the future careers of students and wished them success in the training.

Day 1: Grooming and Interview Tips
The first day of the program focused on Grooming and Interview Preparation. The trainer, Mr. Akhilesh A, introduced the students to key tips and strategies for succeeding in interviews. The session covered both physical and mental preparation, including aspects such as body language, dressing appropriately, preparing for common interview questions, and maintaining a confident attitude during the interview process. Mr. Akhilesh also emphasized the importance of self-presentation and communication skills, providing students with practical examples and tips to make a lasting impression during interviews.

Day 2: Aptitude Test Training
On the second day, the focus shifted to Aptitude Test Training, which included both Quantitative and Qualitative aptitude. Mr. Akhilesh thoroughly explained the various types of questions typically encountered in competitive exams, such as logical reasoning, numerical ability, and verbal aptitude. He worked through several problems from important topics, helping students understand how to approach and solve them effectively. The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating in problem-solving exercises to improve their aptitude skills. The two-day program proved to be extremely beneficial for the students, boosting their confidence and sharpening their aptitude skills. At the end of the workshop, a Q&A session was held, allowing students to ask questions regarding interview strategies, competitive exams, and how to handle recruitment processes effectively. The trainer provided valuable insights and answers, addressing the students’ concerns and guiding them on how to excel in these areas. The pre-placement grooming program was a great success, giving students the tools and confidence they need to approach interviews and competitive exams with a positive mindset. The program not only helped students develop essential skills but also gave them the necessary motivation to succeed in the highly competitive job market.
