World Alzheimer’s Day is observed on 21^st September every year to raise the awareness about Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Department of Psychology, Nirmala Arts & Sciences College, Mulanthuruthy conducted an oath taking ceremony for all the students in college on 21^st September 2023 at 10: 30 am at the college courtyard. Ms. Sona T M rendered the oath to the gathering to raise awareness on Alzheimer’s disease. Principal Dr C A Geetha , Dean Prof Daisy N O addressed the gathering regarding the same. Faculties Ms Anupama R Warier, Ms. Alana Anna Babay, Ms. Anagha Boas, Dr. George and Ms. Nalina biju were also present during the event. MSc psychology students Justin and Arathi gave a detailed class on Alzheimer’s symptomology and awareness sticking on to this year’s theme “Never too late, never too early”. Later on in collaboration with the counselling cell of the college, the PG students went to each class of the college to take an awareness class on the same and also to render the oath on each class. As a remembrance moment a card was also presented to the HODs of each department to observe the day. End of the day it was very fruitful   and enriching session for all students.
