The Post Graduate Department of Psychology at Nirmala Arts & Science College, Mulanthuruthy, in association with the Counselling Cell, organized a program titled “Wednesday Chapter: Prioritizing Mental Health at the Workplace” on 9th October 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall. The event aimed to address the growing need to prioritize mental well-being in professional environments. The session featured three speakers: J Shilpa Nair, MSc Psychology with a specialisation in Clinical Psychology from Union Christian College, who discussed the clinical aspects of workplace mental health and interventions to enhance employee well-being; Kavya U, MSc Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Psychology from the Central University of Karnataka, who emphasized identifying workplace stressors and promoting mental wellness; and Muhammad Rafees CM, Senior Software Engineer at Nminustwo Solutions, Aluva, who brought a practical perspective by discussing the role of technology in managing workplace stress, particularly in tech industries. The event highlighted the importance of creating mentally healthy workplaces and provided participants with clinical and practical strategies for managing mental health challenges in professional settings. The program was facilitated by Ms. Meghna Sunil, Assistant Professor in the PG Department of Psychology.
