Department of Computer Application organized “Spectra 2k24” on 18th October 2024. The day commenced with a warm welcome from the head of the Department of Computer Application, Mr. Eldho Peter and Program was officially inaugurated by our manager Mr. George Kuriakose and keynote address by Dean Prof. Daisy N O. The program was a series of Events which include AI and robotic Expo, gaming, Virtual Reality, Tech Talk, Hardware Expo and Coding Skill enhancement program. Attendees witnessed demonstrations of AI-powered robots performing tasks such as object recognition, autonomous navigation, and simple conversational interactions. There were also sessions explaining the growing role of AI in industries, healthcare, and automation. The gaming competition was one of the most engaging activities of the day. It featured multiple gaming stations where students competed in different genres of video games, including first-person shooters, footballista etc. The VR event allowed attendees to experience immersive simulations, showcasing virtual tours and interactive learning modules. It highlighted VR’s potential in industries like education and healthcare. Students displayed hardware designs, including computer assemblies and IoT devices, providing insights into hardware troubleshooting and computer architecture. The coding segment involved a hands-on workshop where participants were introduced to coding techniques in basic web application development languages such as HTML,AJAX ,CSS etc “Spectra 2k24” was a remarkable success, showcasing the innovative spirit and technical prowess of the Department of Computer Application. The diverse range of events—from the AI and robotics expo to the engaging gaming competitions and immersive virtual reality experiences—provided valuable insights into the latest technological advancements.
