Nirmala Arts & Science College is located in Mulanthuruthy, a south-eastern suburb of the city of Cochin, in Kerala, India. The college is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and is a constituent of Nirmala Charitable Trust.

Nirmala Charitable trust was founded in 1956 by late O.C. Kuriakose Cor-Episcopa, a great visionary and philanthropist who towered over his generation. He saw education as a tool in aiding the transformation of the lives of people and the world around them. His Vision of a hierarchical system of education was actualized through the establishment of various institutions ranking from the pre-primary to university level of education.
