An official inauguration session of the Anti-Narcotic wing of Nirmala Arts & Science College Mulanthuruthy was conducted on July 19th, 2022, between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in association with the Kerala State Excise Department. The aim of the session was to give an awareness class about substance abuse through a speech and a presentation of “Ottamthullal.” The occasion was graced by an eminent personality, Excise Preventive Officer Mr. Jayaraj V, along with Civil Excise Officer Mr. Baiju. The resource person, Mr. Jayaraj V, performed an “Ottamthullal” in front of all the students and teachers. The “Ottamthullal” conveyed a great message about growing solvent abuse in a comic way. The presentation was so striking. An awareness talk was also given by the resource person to convey the seriousness and worrying situation of drug abuse. The awareness talk and Ottamthullal presentation helped to create awareness about the growing generation of drug dependence.
