A national webinar on the topic “Short Film and Story Telling” was conducted on 14th May 2021 via Google Meet and almost 150 students attended the webinar. The webinar was a huge success under the guidance of the most eminent film critic and editor of the Cue Mr. Maneesh Narayanan. The programme started with a silent prayer. Mrs Agnus Joy, faculty coordinator of film club delivered the welcome address.

Mr Maneesh Narayanan shared his thoughts about short film and how it is related with the process of storytelling. He spoke about various short films. He screened the short film version of Lights Out. N A S C manager Sri George Kuriakose, announced the winners of the short film competition Court Metrage. The short film titled ‘Tudip’ that portrayed the importance of water grabbed the first prize.

The second prize was secured by the short film ‘Meni’ that came up with the theme of body shaming. The short film titled ‘Dream’ which shared the theme of a person’s dream got the third prize. There was a screening of the winning short films. The webinar ended with a vote of thanks by the student coordinator of Film Club named Athul Varghese of second year B A English
