National Service Scheme Unit No 113 of Nirmala Arts and Science College, Mulanthuruthy celebrated International plastic bag free Day on 3rd July 2024, Wednesday by organizing an awareness talk which was handled by Sri Thankachan P A, Executive Director, Rural Science Centre Thuruthikara. Welcome address was delivered by Ms Reshma R Nair, NSS Programme officer. The session was very interactive and encouraging. The resource person mainly focused on how to reduce the use of plastic and what methods can be adopted by us. He also shared various innovative ideas for the reduction of usage of plastic bags like making cloth bags from used cloths, umbrellas etc. The program was concluded by a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Athira I T, NSS P O.
