Department of Computer Applications in association with Arena Animations, Palarivattom, Ernakulam On October 8th, 2024 successfully conducted a skill enhancement program workshop titled “Graphic Designing Workshop” for the BCA first-year students. The event aimed to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in graphic design, animation, and visual effects (VFX).The workshop commenced with a warm welcome from Mr. Eldho Peter, Head of the Department. He expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration with Arena Animations and highlighted the significance of graphic design in the digital age.
The workshop featured two esteemed resource persons:
- Jyothish Chandran – Graphics and VFX Faculty
- Jithin Krishna – Animation Faculty
Both experts brought a wealth of knowledge and experience in their respective fields, ensuring an engaging and informative session.
A significant portion of the workshop focused on practical skills. Students were introduced to the latest graphic design tools and software, including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. After the practical demonstrations, an interactive Q&A session allowed students to clarify their doubts and gain insights from the resource persons’ experiences in the industry.The resource persons conducted a detailed session on brochure making, guiding students through the entire design process—from concept development to execution. Participants were encouraged to apply their creativity and technical skills to create visually appealing brochures.
