On October 17, 2024, the Department of Computer Applications organized an engaging program for school students in celebration of Digital Society Day at Nirmala College of Arts and Science, Mulanthuruthy. The day began with a warm welcome from Mr. Eldho Peter, the head of the BCA Department, followed by an insightful keynote address by our Dean, Ms. Daisy NO. Students from near by schools visited our campus and actively participated in discussions on the theme “Digital Society and Its Future.” Their enthusiasm was palpable as they explored how technology impacts daily life and society as a whole. As part of the event, students engaged in hands-on activities, including crafting items from e-waste in an effort to promote e-waste recycling. They also received valuable insights into basic computer hardware and its applications. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to explore our hardware museum and the Robo Expo, which were part of our activity-oriented program, SPECTRA 2K24. The event was a great success, fostering curiosity and awareness about technology and its role in shaping the future.
