The postgraduate department of psychology representing Nirmala Arts and Science College participated in the Bodhi Memory Walk -2023 jointly conducted by CUSAT centre for neuroscience, and Kerala Government. The programme was conducted At Kochi durbar hall from noon 2pm to late evening , to spread awareness on Dementia and Alzheimer’s. The event was inaugurated by Mininster R Bindhu and prize distributions by district collector Umesh N S. Our college secured third prize in the competition, from 22 colleges. About 1500 students participated in the programme and 78 students participated from our college. Our college participated in the memory walk and flashmob competition. Students were very enthusiastic to join the memory walk with their hand made placards and creative movements. The Department teachers also accompanied these bunch of enthusiastic students to join the walk to spread awareness on dementia.
