Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)
Bachelor of Computer Applications is a three-year six-semester undergraduate program. The course is designed to function as an intermediate between the industry and academic organisations.
The curriculum includes the latest technologies to prepare the student for the future. Students are provided strong foundation and skills required to excel in the IT field. The infrastructure provides an excellent environment for the students to contribute effectively in the field of Computer Applications.
Programme Specific Outcome
Explain the basic computer organization, architecture and hardware concepts.
Design algorithm and programs using C, C++, PHP, JAVA languages.
Apply mathematical and statistical tools to identify and solve complex engineering and computing problems.
Develop soft skills and analytical skills to compose applications for real life environment.
Develop software and mobile applications and employ concepts of ethics and cloud computing.
Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for applying for Bachelor in Computer Application are:
- Candidates shall be required to have passed the Plus Two/ equivalent examination in science stream with Mathematics/Computer Science/ Informatics Practices as optional.
Course Design
The UG program in Computer Applications and Science includes Common courses, Core courses, Complementary courses, Open courses, Seminar, Project, and viva voce. No course shall carry more than four credits. Every student has to select one open course in semester V offered by various departments of the College.
