Career Guidance and Placement Cell of Nirmala Arts and Science College, in collaboration with ASAP Kerala, recently organized an orientation session for UG and PG students on 26/09/2024. The event began with an address from Dr C A. Geetha, the principal of the college, who emphasized the importance of career readiness. The keynote address was delivered by Prof. Daisy N O Dean of the college, who provided insights into the evolving job market.

Mr. Eldho Peter, convenor of the Career Guidance and Placement Cell, welcomed Mr. Anandu Rajashekaran, ASAP Program Manager for the Ernakulam Division, as the resource person for the session. Mr. Rajashekaran shared valuable information on skill development and career opportunities, encouraging students to take proactive steps in shaping their futures. The event aimed to equip students with essential tools and guidance as they navigate their career paths.

The event was organized as separate sessions for first, second, and final-year students of both UG and PG courses. During these sessions, Mr. Anandu Rajashekaran introduced more than 13 relevant skill development courses designed to enhance students’ skills within their academic curriculum. He also discussed placement opportunities and the support provided by ASAP Kerala in securing jobs.

Students actively engaged in the sessions, gaining a clearer understanding of the courses available to them and the potential job prospects associated with these skills. The enthusiasm and participation demonstrated the students’ eagerness to explore the resources that could aid in their career development.
