The Department of Computer Applications, in collaboration with the Career Guidance and Placement Cell, organized an alumni talk on August 9, 2024, at the Seminar Hall for final year BCA students. The session was coordinated by Mr. Eldo Peter, Head of the Department of Computer Applications, and featured Mr. Anand Menon as the guest speaker. Mr. Menon, a Global Payroll Specialist and Implementation Team Member at Ramco Systems, provided invaluable insights. The primary aim of this alumni talk was to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry practice. The session was designed to equip students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to navigate their future careers effectively. By drawing on the experiences and expertise of a successful industry professional, the talk offered students practical perspectives and strategies for a smooth transition from academic learning to the professional world. Mr. Anand Menon delivered actionable insights into the global payroll and implementation sectors, providing a practical perspective on industry expectations.  The interactive Q&A session enabled students to address specific concerns and gain valuable advice.  The networking break fostered meaningful interactions between students and the guest speaker, potentially leading to future career opportunities.
