The Department of Computer Applications of Nirmala Arts & Science College, Mulanthuruthy conducted a one-day outreach programme on E-Waste awareness as part of celebrating International E-waste Day. The programme was held on 14th October 2024. Students of Department of Computer Applications visited neighbourhood community and gave an awareness on “How to Reduce E-Waste”. An e-waste awareness outreach program focuses on educating the public about the growing problem of electronic waste (e-waste), its environmental and health impacts, and how individuals and organizations can responsibly manage and recycle electronic devices. This type of outreach can have a significant environmental and societal impact by reducing pollution, conserving resources, and fostering sustainable practices. Most of the families cooperated with students and agreed to hand over different household e waste for upcycling.
