The Post Graduate Department of Psychology, Nirmala Arts and Science College, Mulanthuruthy had conducted Wednesday chapter of the month on 4th September, 2024 at 11 am. The session began with the formal welcome address delivered by Ms. Arathi Krishna of MSc Second year. Shri. George Kuriakose, manager of the college delivered the presidential address. The chief guest of the session was Mrs Divina Richu Denny, Senior Clinical Psychologist. The topic of discussion was health connections: exploring the synergy between sexual health and emotional resilience. Improving sexual health can foster emotional resilience. Sexual health is important to a person’s overall well-being and quality of life. Prioritizing sexual health through education, open communication and access to medical care is essential for holistic health. She focused on the building more inclusive society by addressing different aspects of sexual health and emotional regulation. Detailed discussion of psychology of rapist and different case studies were discussed with students. After the session, students shared feedback regarding the session.
