A Resume Building and Mock Interview Workshop was organized at our department in with the aim of preparing students for the professional job market. The workshop, held on 9^th August 2023 at 10:00 am, focused on equipping participants with the skills and confidence needed to create impactful resumes and excel in job interviews. The session was handled by Mrs Binu Bahuleyan, Asst Centre Manager, CDC Tripunithura. Expert guidance was provided on structuring resumes effectively, emphasizing key skills, achievements, and experiences.  Individualized feedback and suggestions were given to students, tailoring their resumes to match specific career objectives. After that a mock interview session conducted. Simulated job interviews were conducted, replicating real-life scenarios. Participants received constructive feedback on their interview performance, body language, and responses to common interview questions. Feedback from participants was highly positive. Students expressed gratitude for the personalized attention given to their resumes, enabling them to highlight their strengths effectively. The mock interview sessions were particularly valuable, as students gained confidence and learned how to handle various interview situations. Participants reported feeling more confident about presenting themselves professionally, both on paper and in interviews. Students learned essential interview techniques, enhancing their ability to handle challenging questions and present their qualifications effectively. The workshop equipped students with practical skills that are crucial for securing internships and job opportunities in a competitive market.
