On July 25, 2024, the Seminar Hall hosted a crucial seminar on “Cyber Crime Awareness,” organized by the BCA Department under the leadership of Mr. Eldho Peter. The seminar featured two distinguished resource persons: Arun P, Senior Civil Police Officer at Cyber Dome, Kochi, and Rajna KV, a prominent psychologist. The session aimed to educate participants about the increasing threats posed by cyber crimes and to provide practical guidance on protecting oneself from such threats. Arun P provided a detailed overview of current cyber crime trends, types of cyber threats, and the strategies employed by law enforcement to combat these issues. His insights into the mechanisms of cyber crimes and the latest investigative techniques were particularly enlightening. Rajna KV complemented the technical aspects of the seminar with a focus on the psychological impact of cyber crimes. She discussed the emotional and mental health consequences for victims, offering strategies for coping with and recovering from such experiences. Her session emphasized the importance of mental resilience and support systems in dealing with the aftermath of cyber-related incidents.
