Anti- ragging Cell

An important and a mandatory functional body of the institution, the anti-ragging cell was constituted as per the guidelines of UGC under the act of 1956, which is modified as UGC regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions 2009.

An anti ragging committee of the college is constituted for the year 2020 – 2021 as detailed below; Principal will be chairman of the committee.

Objectives

  • To aware the students of the dehumanising effect of ragging inherent in its perversity
  • To keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.
  • To promptly and stringently deal with the incidents of ragging brought to notice.

Activity Report

Report 2020-2021

Due to the covid pandemic,the classes were conducted online for a major part of this academic year. When students were allowed to come to the campus there presence in the campus was strictly adhered to the specifications of MG University. Hence there were no instances of interactions between senior students and junior students. Inspite of this, the committee provided awareness against ragging to all the batches of students as and when they came to the campus. A circular containing details regarding the guidelines of  UGC against ragging was read in every class.
